If you live in Cardiff you may already be aware of the strange going on’s that have been happening throughout the city. Dino footprints were spotted outside the museum, a sculpture had been broken and a naughty dinosaur had taken a poop in the middle of Queen Street! Wales Online reported the mayhem – This is why there was a giant dinosaur poo in Cardiff’s busiest shopping street
Don’t worry it was all a publicity stunt to promote the launch of Dinosaur Babies – an exciting family friendly interactive exhibition bringing together some of the world’s most amazing finds of dinosaur eggs and embryos.
The Welsh Mummy Blogs family love dinosaurs! We were super excited to be invited to the launch.
The museum was very busy, the boys were starstruck as we were greeted by CBeebies presenter Lizzie Daly.
After an introduction to the exhibition we were all served a delicious dinosaur themed breakfast and then we got to explore.
The exhibition features models of dinosaur eggs and embryos, full size dinosaur skeletons, a dinosaur nest and a Big Dig Pit!
There was also an area for families to get crafty.
Firstly the boys ran to the interactive dinosaur models and displays. Their favourite model was the life-like moving dinosaur which kept their attention for sometime. The boys then dressed up like palaeontologists and had lots of fun looking for some fossils in the Big Dig Pit.
We finished our morning by taking some photos and having a little chat to Lizzie Daly. We then went off to buy some dinosaur toys from the gift shop.
I found the exhibition to be very interesting, informative and fun for all ages. It was a great way to spend our Saturday morning.
