I used to be a gym kinda girl but the years of running on a treadmill have not been kind to my knees. I have been diagnosed with inflammation of the rib cage which flares up a lot so lifting weights and daily running is no longer an option for me to stay fit and healthy…I have had to find an alternative.
I have found that practising yoga and going swimming has been beneficial. It has really helped with my aches and pains; I feel healthy and lighter, I am less stressed and more relaxed. It is so good that I have even introduced my almost 5 year old to yoga and he loves it! (You can read about family yoga HERE )
This summer I am really looking forward to International Yoga Day in Cardiff
On 25th June 2017 at the The National Indoor Athletic Centre, Cyncoed Road. Cardiff from 10am – 1pm everyone is invited to a FREE event ..sounds good right!!
The day will be led by some of the country’s leading yoga teachers as we salute the sun in celebration of International Yoga Day….and if that isn’t enough there will be an array of street food stalls from the likes of the ‘Cardiff famous’ Grazing Shed to the taste bud tantalizing Purple Poppadom
Not only will you get to enjoy hours of FREE yoga & meditation, you will also get the chance to hear from guest speakers including NARENDRA MODI – Prime Minster of India (video message), CARWYN JONES – First Mister of Wales and RAJ AGGARWAL – Honorary Consulate of India, Wales.
The day is a great opportunity to introduce someone new to yoga as there are plenty of classes for all experience levels… including beginners.
