Elf on the Shelf – Day by Day Cheat List

Is it really that time of year again?! Dare I say it? Elf on the Shelf!!

Today I have watched three Christmas Adverts on YouTube. The usually epic John Lewis ad was not as good as I’d hoped for but I did like the Coca-Cola Christmas advert for 2020.

As December is fast approaching, I thought I’d share with you the Elf on the Shelf cheat list.

If you have older children you are probably sick to the back teeth of this little smiling, cherub looking s**t. However, if you are new to this, you may need my help.

Moving this little guy around the house once a night sounds fun, it is at first! Believe me though, 8 years in and I feel like cooking the Elf on the Shelf! I mean there should be some support group set up for parents that are no doubt losing the plot over this Elf!!

The first few nights are easy, you give yourself a pat on the back for your ingenious ideas and think that all is well. That is until one night, when you’re tucked up in bed ready to drift of to sleep and BAM his little demon, oops sorry, cherub face appears before you.

You find yourself jumping out of bed, next you are frantically looking for him. You’ve run out of ideas, you can’t place him next barbie for the 4th night running, what do you do?!!

Below you will find a day by day guide to moving your Elf on the Shelf. I hope it helps and please feel free to share this post.
