Just what lengths is TORI willing to go to in order to claim Alison and James for herself?

(Trigger warnings: Suicide, depression, IRA bombings, ADHD, Autism, manipulative characters.

The second book in the series however can be read as a stand alone book.

The Victoria Lie is a very realistic story told in the first person narrative about a small group of friends struggling to deal with the impact of Zoe’s attempted suicide.
Based in London with real life references. The story begins with Zoe who  seems to be having trouble with living life. She decides to end it all, however she does not want her friend to see her die in her home.
Zoe decides to take an overdose and then travel on the tube so that she can be found and taken to hospital.
She hopes the doctors will slow down the impact of the overdose and contact friends for her. She believes by doing things this way, it will give her the time to say goodbye to her friend and boyfriend properly.
Boyfriend James and friend Alison both have their own issues in life.

There is a lot of confusion, anger, resentment, jealousy and sadness shown towards each other. This shows as they try to figure out how their lives got to this point and why Zoe wants to end her life.

Some of the surrounding people are colleagues, friends of friends or newly made friends. This adds some mystery around what the purpose of these people are and why some of them seem to lie and manipulate an already tragic situation.
This book is a real page turner. I felt involved with each and every character. The story had me hooked! I was eager to find out what happened to not only Zoe, but her friends and their social circle.
It is a story that shows how lies, manipulation and lack of communication can cause so much pain and heartache. It is also a story of how all of the above can effect mental health in ways that cannot be foreseen.
