What Wesley Wore – A story of acceptance. Book review #AD

Boy with a book

We were gifted What Wesley Wore in exchange for an honest review

Did you know that a group of weasels is called a confusion?

All the weasels in the Westburrow Wood are supposed to follow the rules and fit in. If you don’t fit in then you are rejected.

So, imagine their confusion when they meet Wesley, a wacky weasel, who is obsessed with clothes!

The Welsh Mummy Blogs family really enjoyed reading What Wesley Wore.
It touched on the subject of bullying for being different, something our family understands.

We follow the story of Wesley, a weasel who likes to wear bright colours and to dress smart. Wearing his bright clothes makes him happy but the other weasels say nasty things about him. The other weasels plot and protest against Wesley.

This hurts Wesley’s feelings and his confidence is crushed.

Luckily, Wesley’s dad is on hand to offer him some advice, his message to Wesley is “Dry that last tear, just smile when they sneer, don’t let them win. Don’t show them your fear”

My eldest son could relate to What Wesley Wore . He sometimes feels different. My advice to my son is that everyone is different in their own way, the world would be a boring place if we were all the same.

Readers will be eager to find out what happens when you stand up for yourself.

What Wesley Wore is a heart-warming story about staying true to yourself and acceptance.

It has the Welsh Mummy Blogs seal of approval!
