We were invited to the press day of Jurassic Encounter in exchange for an honest review.
Get ready to step back in time this Summer as Bute Park has been transformed into a prehistoric playground, featuring more than 50 animatronic dinosaur scenes.
Jurassic Encounter is a thrilling Virtual Reality experience that allowed us to explore the Prehistoric, Triassic and Cretaceous periods.
The Welsh Mummy Blogs family had an amazing time. We loved getting up close and personal with some of the most fascinating beasts to ever roam the earth, whilst walking the beautiful parkland trails.
We needed to keep our eyes peeled as creatures lurked around every corner, in the woodlands, gardens, ponds and paths. The dinosaurs were ready to roar or lunge at us at any moment, which made us jump a few times but that only added to the fun.
There really was so much fun to be had. The boys loved becoming Palaeontologists for the day by climbing inside dinosaur eggs and digging up dinosaur bones in an excavation pit.
Our favourite dinosaurs had to be the 18m tall T-Rex that breathes and sways its tail as it hunts for prey, and the 16m long Diplodocus, who cries out to passers by.
Guests young and old will have a fascinating day.
There are toilet facilities and a refreshment area offering street food. There is also a merchandise stand so you can take your very own dinosaur home.
CARDIFF’s Bute Park will be transformed into a Jurassic Park from 21 August until 5 September.
