Monster Jam 2018 – The most spontaneous entertainment I have ever seen before!

Monster Jam

If you are a family that likes to live life on the wild side then look no further than Monster Jam!!

Having electrified crowds in some of the world’s most iconic stadiums, Monster Jam returned to the Principality Stadium, Cardiff on May 19th and the Welsh Mummy Blogs family was there to bring you all the fun.

May 19th, Cardiff City Centre was buzzing with people from all walks of life. I watched the young and old, make their way to the fuel fan and adrenaline junkies event of the year!!

Everyone looked happy and eager to watch the most action packed live event on four wheels for 2018. My Son (aged 5) was very excited, he was full of energy. He was itching to have a look at the Monster Jam Trucks merchandise stalls.

My husband was looking forward to the Monster Jam truck racing and freestyle competitions. He is a fan of the World Finals champion Grave Digger.

My family with Todd Leduc. A two time Monster Jam World Finals champion, winning the freestyle championship in 2014 and the racing championship in 2015.

As we entered the stadium I could smell the burning of fuel, I could hear the revving engines of the Monster Jam trucks and this just added to the excitement.

We took to our seats which were located at the starting point of the competition – great seats for any Motorsports enthusiast.

There I witnessed for the 1st time, some of the most spontaneous entertainment I have ever seen before! I was on the edge of my seat as I watched these HUGE Monster Jam trucks flip over in the air, jump and balance on two wheels!

The ambiance was electrifying, the gravity defying freestyle competitions had the spectators engrossed, the energy around me was fantastic!

After witnessing the unexpected and the unforgettable, the Welsh Mummy Blogs family had a look around the merchandise stalls. There we bought some fantastic Grave Digger souvenirs. My Son and Niece were well chuffed with their Grave Digger Slushy cups!

The only downside to the day was that I didn’t invest in a pair of decent ear defenders. My 5-year-old complained after the event had finished that his ears were sore, but it didn’t dampen his mood.

I also had to leave the event earlier than my other family members as the event was very busy and my panic and anxiety got the better of me, I didn’t mind though as my sons had such a fantastic time.

Check out some of the videos I recorded –

We will definitely be attending next year…Will YOU.
