This year I am interviewing Welsh bloggers – Today I talk to First Time Valley Mam
With so many high profile bloggers out there, we may forget some of the amazing Welsh bloggers who are closer to home.
Please tell us a little bit about yourself?
My name is Jo I’m from Merthyr Tydfil in the South Wales valleys! I’ve been blogging around 2-3 years, but I’ve kinda kept myself quiet. I have a son who is 6, who was diagnosed with severe autism when he was just 2 years of age. I don’t really have many hobbies, recently I’ve joined the gym and started swimming and line dancing. This is more for my weight loss and fitness.
What is your blog about?
My blog is mainly about our autism journey, the milestones Z hits at different stages to most children. I’ve blogged about our adventures, with friends and as a family. I’ve been as honest as I can about how difficult autism can be but how much progress we’ve also made. I’ve covered our journey to parenthood as Z is an IVF baby, I’ve covered a recent miscarriage from our frozen embryos and I’d say a regular at new theatre for reviews.
Cathryn from Cardiff Mummy Says inspired me after chatting away to her on twitter. She helped me get started and told me to go for it. Then Marc from grumpy dad helped me with my blog design.
I’ve been very lucky that I’ve not faced any challenges from my blogging, but I think that’s because I don’t put myself out there enough. Which I’m hoping to change in 2019, I know I should be sharing my content a little more, maybe have a little more confidence in myself and share it more than once.
